Lloyd Dobbs

Lloyd Dobbs is a Hull musician best known as a founding member and bassist of indie band The Paddingtons, who scored multiple UK Top 40 singles and became one of the city’s cult guitar acts of the 2000s.

Away from the charts he has spent more than 20 years playing in local bands including folk-Americana collective The Hillbilly Troupe, and is closely involved with the Hull Folk & Maritime Festival and Folk in Hull, where he helps champion grassroots artists and live music across the city.

Performing solo at Molly Mangan’s, Lloyd brings that mix of indie edge and folk storytelling to a stripped-back set, with songs and stories shaped by Hull, its people and its music scene.
